It’s The 12th annual White Squirrel Day!
White Squirrel Day returns on Monday, February 2!
Presented by the White Squirrel Institute with support from the Transylvania County Tourism Development Authority (Explore Brevard) and WSQL Radio, White Squirrel Day serves as the main fundraiser for The White Squirrel Institute, a local nonprofit organization. This year, White Squirrel Day event will be held at the White Squirrel Shoppe on West Main Street form 11am til 1pm.
Event highlights include:
- Pisgah Piper making her weather prediction and picking the 2026 Super Bowl winner
- Squirrely cake and signature white squirrel beverages
- Don DeBiase of White Squirrel Radio serving as Master of Ceremonies
- Mayor Maureen Copelof will read a proclamation officially memorializing the day as “White Squirrel Day”in Brevard
This year, Pisgah Piper continues her role as Brevard’s official white squirrel ambassador and will make her predictions on whether or not we’ll see an early spring, and who will be the winner of the 2026 Superbowl!
The White Squirrel Day celebration will be broadcast live on WSQL radio 102.1 FM, 97.3FM & 1240 AM and livestreamed on WSQL’s Facebook page, so fans near and far can join in the festivities and hear Piper’s predictions.
